Service & Installation Apprentice

AES Hearth & Patio is a leading retailer of Alternative Heating, Custom Fireplaces, and Outdoor Living Products, offered from a variety of manufacturers. We have showroom locations in Newville, Camp Hill, Chambersburg, and Burnham, with an extensive Service & Installation Department in Newville and Burnham.

We are privileged to work with a variety of customers, and as our business continues to grow, we are looking to add a new member to our service team!

We have an immediate opportunity for a Service & Installation Apprentice to assist our Lead Technicians with field installations and service work. This position offers hands-on training to become a Certified Lead Technician at AES Hearth & Patio. This position will also spend regular time in the warehouse and assisting with grounds maintenance.

This person will...

· Assist with installations and service of stoves, inserts, and fireplaces & NOW Hot tubs.

· Assist with chimney installation, repair, and maintenance

· Assist with deliveries of equipment and wood pellet fuel

· Assist with warehouse organization & grounds maintenance

We are looking for...

· Field service and/or installation experience

· Ability to use most power tools with some knowledge of basic construction

· Ability to work at heights (from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and on rooves)

· Ability to lift heavy equipment consistently

· Must be able to work well in a team environment

· Willingness to learn and capable of being a future Lead Technician

· Ability to use a computer, know how to use a smartphone and tablet

· Construction, finish carpentry, or masonry experience (preferred, but not required)

· Forklift Operation & DOT Physical (preferred, but not required)
