JOB PURPOSE: Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Service Fulfillment, the Service Fulfillment Network Engineer is responsible for the end‑to‑end provisioning of Internet and Ethernet transport services for carrier and enterprise customers, including new installations, moves, additions, changes (MACs), and disconnections. This role provides technical support throughout the service turn-up process and ensures accurate configuration and deployment of network equipment, including Ciena, Fortinet, Cisco IOS, and Cisco IOS-XR platforms. Additionally, the position is responsible for evaluating, certifying, and introducing new devices and configurations into the network to support operational standards and service reliability.
REPONSIBLITIES:
Configure and provision Internet/Ethernet services for new, MAC, and disconnect orders
Support deployment of:
Managed LAN
Managed WAN
LTE failover solutions
Basic WiFi implementations
Review orders, prepare CPE equipment, and complete pre-installations
Perform Service Activation Testing (SAT) using RFC2544 and/or Y.1564
Assist in basic Fortinet (FortiGate/FortiAP) configurations using templates
Troubleshoot post-install issues and escalate when necessary
Maintain accurate documentation, updates, and Project records
Coordinate with vendors for circuit turn-up and issue resolution
Test and validate standard device configurations
Keep management informed of order status and risks impacting delivery
