Client is seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer (OSE) to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware environments, including next-generation AI infrastructure. This is a customer-facing, break/fix role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining enterprise server hardware to ensure uptime and reliability.
<.> ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues.
Perform installation, removal, replacement, and repair of components including:
Memory/DIMMs, CPUs, power supplies, fans/cooling, hard drives/SSDs, RAID/HBA, NICs, PCIe components, GPUs, motherboards.
Execute rack-and-stack, cabling, server installation, and hardware configuration.
Troubleshoot across hardware, BIOS/firmware, and operating systems.
Perform firmware/BIOS updates using server management tools (Dell iDRAC, iLO, etc.).
Conduct both reactive break/fix and preventive maintenance.
Document service activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolution details.
Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
Participate in weekly touchpoint calls with the Unisys team.
Support on-call rotations and extended coverage as required.
3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers or data center hardware.
Direct experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing server components.
Strong knowledge of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting methodology.
Experience with hardware diagnostics, BIOS/firmware, and server management tools.
Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.
Strong communication skills for technical issue resolution.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and support flexible/on-call schedules.
Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers.
Dell or other enterprise hardware certifications.
Experience with GPU/AI server infrastructure.
Background in data center operations, rack/stack, structured cabling, or server deployment.
Associate s or Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
AI infrastructure experience is not required. Candidates with strong enterprise server and data center hardware experience who are willing to learn emerging AI platforms are encouraged to apply.
