    Service Coordinator II (Digital Access Coordinator) 


    Required Qualifications:
    • Ability to train youth, staff, community partners, and stakeholders on various digital access initiatives. Must be able to handle high volume of projects and communications with large number of individuals from multiple organizations.
    • Facilitate soft skill building and college/career readiness programming for teens; serve as a resource on college and career readiness for families. Develop and enhance youth leadership opportunities, where youth can advocate for their interests and inform program design and implementation. Cultivate partnerships with community partners and invite guest speakers, or organizations to give workshops, set up field trips.
    • · Must be able to train youth Digital Navigators on digital skill building trainings. Must be able to facilitate digital trainings and presentations to youth, adults, older adults, and other target populations who need support learning digital skills. Must be able to coordinate with other digital inclusion focused organizations to provide programming and resources to youth and families in a fast paced environment.

    • Monthly reporting and attending group calls for various councils and community groups related to youth development programming and digital skills within San Antonio. Must track reporting data and submit reports on timely basis.
    • Experience recruiting and maintaining retention for youth and participants to various youth educational programming with target populations growing up within the Digital Divide.
    • Conduct mentor outreach, recruit mentors, and build partnerships with local sources of mentors (i.e. colleges, local businesses, community partners, etc.) Ensure proper mentor screening and candidate review, provide orientation, ongoing training, and support to mentors, and facilitate positive endings to mentoring relationships.
    • Create a culture within a safe space that is youth centered with direct service that is trauma-informed care; identify the needs of youth and parents/guardians/families and provide them with assistance and various resources.
    • Will travel to various conferences out of state as part of The Clubhouse Network and Best Buy’s professional development training including Boston, Minneapolis, etc.
    • Able to represent Family Service during local monthly meetings to share best practices, resources, and participate in networking opportunities as part of The Clubhouse Network in partnership with the Best Buy Teen Tech Center
    • Associates degree and four (4) years’ experience or High school diploma/GED and eight (8) years’ experience in education, health, social work, or other related human service field, required. 
    • 2+ years of experience in youth services, especially youth development with the support of adult mentors
    • State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance. Ability to drive agency vans to transport youth for field trips.
    Preferred Qualifications (indicate the preferred education, training, work experience, skills, etc.):
    • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree preferred and two (2) years’ experience.
    • 3+ years of direct experience in youth services
    • Open to learning new types of technology to promote continuous learning alongside youth and team members. Experience with technology not required.
    • Experience recruiting long-term mentors and providing them with mentor onboarding and training; ability to sustain and maintain a strong mentorship program for youth
    • Ability to be flexible, accountable, reliable, work independently, and serve as a strong support system for youth and team members within the Best Buy Teen Tech Center
    • Ability to work as a team player and be part of a youth serving team dynamic in supporting each other while reaching for personal and professional goals


    Essential Functions:
    1. Ensures that clients have access, as needed, to all five pillars of the social determinants of health with a trauma informed lens through Agency services and/or community partners.
    2. Supervise and provide oversight of day-to-day operations of assigned projects to ensure program operations conform to agency policies and procedures and customer service expectations. Plans programs, events, training on early childhood education and related professional development both in-person and virtually. Performs training and professional development for both internal staff, community partners, and other stakeholders.
    3. Supervise staff by monitoring accountability responsibilities (i.e., activity or service reports and documentation, approval of time sheets, travel, requests for paid time off, and conference registrations), consulting with supervisor on performance appraisal and structuring staff developmental training.  Provide staff with ongoing support and updated information.
    4. Actively support, participate in, and contribute to the achievement of program goals, objectives and activities as defined by the service plan and as directed by the designated Manager.
    5. Communicate the rationale, methodology, and goals of the agency and program to community groups and organizations through written materials, oral presentations and media appearances; and participate in multi-agency coordination and collaboration activities to support the service delivery plan.
    6. Manage and oversee the collection of data and service questionnaires/surveys and the completion of data and contractual tracking through the Client Track and/or other tracking systems required by contract or agency need.  Input client services into Client Track; and run reports from Client Track to provide external and internal reporting of delivery of services.
    7. Supervise the recruitment, interviewing, training and placement of service volunteers, and the identification and recruitment of service applicants, if applicable. 
    8. Assist the manager to identify, cultivate, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with key partners, community collaborators, community programs, and families.
    9. Identify service gaps and/or duplication in services to facilitate a well-coordinated service delivery system within the services area and throughout the agency, as directed.
    10. Assist the manager to evaluate service results and outcomes as compared to established goals and objectives.  Assist the manager and/or designated supervisor to identify and secure funds that enhance and expand program implementation efforts and overall development of services.
    11. Represent the agency at meetings, with community stakeholders and other groups as requested.
    12. Maintain good relationships with stakeholders (including current and potential clients, community and co-workers), focusing on providing excellent and culturally sensitive customer service and presenting a positive image of the agency in all community and stakeholder interactions.
    13. Maintain a working environment which encourages mutual respect, promotes respectful and congenial relationships between employees and is free from all forms of harassment.
    14. Assist in defining protocols, roles, and responsibilities for Memoranda of Understanding between partners and with collaborating agencies if applicable.
    15. Provide direct client services - answer client calls, provide program and/or community information with regard to training and professional development services, Child Development Associates Credential, scholarships, and other information related to program and the early childhood field. 
    16. Perform other duties as assigned, including presentations to community groups and organizations, in accordance with the agency’s “team” philosophy.

    Education/Training/Experience:
    1. Associate's degree in education, health, social work, child growth and development, early childhood or other related human service field, required. 
    2. A minimum of four (4) years experience in early childhood education, required.
    3. Experience in working in a collaborative environment building organizational and stakeholder relationships and planning, required.
    4. Previous direct services leadership experience.
    5. Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
    6. Staff will be required to submit proof of their vaccination status or may request to be exempt from vaccination due to a religious and/or medical accommodation. 
    7. Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate State agency as a qualified practitioner.

Family Service provides more than 5,000,000 meals each year through a USDA food program in 85 Nebraska counties.
