Overall Summary

As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer''s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

What You''ll Do

Greet customers and provide a professional service experience

Listen to customer concerns and accurately document their needs

Perform pre-write-up vehicle inspections

Work with technicians and the Parts Department to keep repairs moving

Provide repair and maintenance estimates

Clearly explain recommended services to customers

Keep customers informed throughout the repair process

Schedule appointments and help manage daily workflow

Review completed repairs and process customer payments

Follow up with customers when needed

Build long-term customer relationships

What We''re Looking For

No automotive experience required - we will train the right candidate

Service Advisor experience is a plus

Strong communication and people skills

Comfortable with technology and learning new computer systems

Comfortable speaking with customers in person and over the phone

Organized and able to handle a fast-paced environment

Positive, professional attitude

Strong work ethic

Team-oriented mindset

Willingness to learn automotive repair and maintenance
