We're looking for a Service Centre Manager to lead our Penrose Service Centre. This is an opportunity for a people focused leader who is passionate about creating safe, inclusive, diverse, high performing teams and delivering exceptional production outcomes for customers.
As the leader of our largest and most complex operational site in New Zealand, you'll play a key role in shaping culture, developing talent, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring our people go home safe every day.
What You'll Be Doing
As Service Centre Manager, you'll:
Lead and inspire a diverse team to safely deliver outstanding quality operational performance
Develop and coach leaders and team members, driving a continuous improvement mindset and helping people grow and achieve their full potential
Drive operational excellence across productivity, quality, customer focus and cost performance
Partner closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational continuity
Lead site planning, resourcing and performance to deliver results
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and legislative requirements.
Champion the CHEP "Our IMPACT" behaviours and bring our values to life every day
Foster strong relationships with employees, customers and key internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a leader who can balance operational excellence with genuine people leadership.
You'll ideally have:
Experience leading large operational, manufacturing, logistics or supply chain teams
A strong commitment to safety leadership and creating psychologically safe workplaces
Proven experience building diverse, engaged, high performing teams
The ability to influence, coach and develop people at all levels
Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational change
Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and site performance
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A collaborative leadership style that brings people on the journey
