    Job Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Service Center Manager to lead our service operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Service Center, manage a team of 7 employees, ensure CNC production schedules are met, maintain safety standards, and communicate directly with customers on production timelines, tooling needs, and deliveries. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and a focus on operational excellence.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise a team of 7 employees in a fast-paced production environment.
    • Oversee CNC machine production and manage workflow to meet customer delivery schedules.
    • Communicate with customers daily regarding tooling, job status, and delivery timelines.
    • Oversee roller shell and gearbox rebuild operations.
    • Manage tooling, spare parts and production material inventory
    • Maintain and manage the company’s in-house tooling inventory system.
    • Fulfill customer orders and prepare for shipping
    • Perform quality reviews on finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
    • Ensure safety compliance by overseeing guidelines and enforcing employee adherence.
    • Conduct occasional visits to customer plants to strengthen relationships and review project needs.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or service center environment, with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
    • Experience with CNC machinery, production scheduling, and rebuild operations required.
    • Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA) and inventory control practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
