Position Summary

The Service Center Branch Manager is accountable for the safe, profitable, and efficient operation of the branch. This is a true general management role, combining P&L ownership, team leadership, customer relationship management, and business development into one seat. You will set the culture, drive performance, and serve as the face of the organization in your market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all branch operations, including sales, customer service, warehouse, logistics, and inventory management
  • Own and manage the branch P&L, including budget preparation and expense oversight
  • Drive a safety-first culture with rigorous hazard identification, incident reporting, and corrective action follow-through
  • Develop and execute annual branch business plans targeting both retention of existing business and acquisition of new accounts
  • Build, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and providing consistent feedback and accountability
  • Partner with regional and national sales teams to align branch strategy with broader organizational objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all MRC policies, DOT regulations, and SOX guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships through direct engagement and responsive service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in customer service, inside sales, or warehouse/distribution operations, including demonstrated leadership experience
  • Prior experience in industrial distribution, PVF, MRO, or oilfield services strongly preferred
  • Proven P&L management capability
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to be certified on forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment
