    Service Advisor

    Wooster, OH

    Wooster Power Equipment is currently searching for a full-time Service Advisor to be the primary point of contact for customers seeking repair and maintenance for lawnmowers, tractors, landscaping equipment, and handheld OPE/Powersports.

    This is a great opportunity for someone with landscaping, lawn care, grounds maintenance, or outdoor power equipment experience who enjoys helping customers and understanding how equipment is used in the field!

    Schedule:

    • Monday-Friday
    • 8:30am-5:00pm
    • Saturdays when needed during our busy season
    • Scheduled to work one Saturday per month
    • Flexible adjusting work hours as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in service advising or small engine repair highly preferred- willing to train qualified applicant
    • Landscaping, lawn care, grounds maintenance, or outdoor power equipment experience strongly preferred
    • Proficiency with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) or software systems
    • Ability to lift up to 75lbs. to assist with equipment loading/unloading
    • Communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet customers, perform initial visual inspections, and document specific equipment issues (e.g., engine surging or deck vibration)
    • Schedule repairs and coordinate with technicians to meet deadlines
    • Work with employees to solve technical issues between distributors and technicians
    • Write warranty repairs and describe why the warranty situation happened and needs to be solved
    • Build estimates for parts and labor; suggest preventative maintenance
    • Update customers on repair status and explain technical repairs
    • Assist the sales department as needed with customer service and sales transactions as needed- answer phones and direct calls/messages
    • Schedule pickup and delivery for the service department and delivery of new equipment
    • Perform all other duties as assigned
