Service Advisor - Toyota Dealership

Job Summary: As a Service Advisor you are responsible for greeting customers, listening to their description of the problems or service needed, determining the type of service required and prepare repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, a new estimate with the additional cost is created and the customer is contacted for permission to do the work. They also advise customers on other available services.

Pay: Yearly average with monthly bonus $60,000-$75,000; $14.00-$16.00 an hour, plus a month bonus based on your sales.

Schedule:  Full-time 40 hours a week; Service Department hours Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure dealership needs are met. Flexibility to work outside scheduled and dealership hours when needed.

Essential Job Duties:

• Greeting guests promptly and courteously in a professional manner.
• Answering phone calls and scheduling service appointments.
• Actively listening to accurately document guest’s vehicle concerns.
• Generating repair orders and documenting guest concerns with their vehicle.
• Preparing accurate estimates on parts and labor for guests.
• Recommending mileage-based maintenance for guests.
• Obtain details of customer concern and translates to assists technicians with diagnosis.
• Monitoring progress of guest’s vehicles throughout the day and frequently updating guests on the repair progress.
• Inspect repairs completed by technicians.
• Explain all repairs to guests and necessary charges.
• Maintains electronic and/or paper records of service work.
• Ability to multitask in a high volume, fast paced environment.

 Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• At least one year of related service/dealership experience (preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to be insurable by our auto insurance provider.
