Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit/debit card payments, and giving correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including cleaning equipment, counters, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Prepare food items as needed, including scooping ice cream and assembling orders while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Manage customer orders efficiently during busy periods, ensuring timely service without compromising quality.
- Support food safety management practices by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy environment to promote a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, retail sales, or cashiering is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, food handling, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry.
- Experience working in quick service or fast food environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
