At Smokin J's BBQ we strive to make our customers feel like the luckiest people in San Diego. We do this by paying attention to the details. Our meats are slow-smoked and pulled or sliced to order and everything is made in-house from scratch. Smokin J’s BBQ is seeking friendly, energetic, and customer focused servers to join our FOH team at our Poway location. We are looking for people who are capable of adding an elevated level of service to our high-paced, quick-service restaurant. 

Pay is $22.90-29.90/hour ($16.90/hour base pay plus $6-13/hour in tips)

Responsibilities: 

• Opening and/or closing procedures
• Taking orders, handling the POS system (Toast) and cash drawer
• Getting beverages (soda, beer, wine) for guests
• Running food and bussing tables
• Checking in on guests on patio and upselling additional items
• Ensuring the patio and bar always stays clean and organized
• Making to-go cups for sauces, ketchup, and other condiments
• Answering general customer questions
• Taking phone orders

• Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements: 

• Walking and standing for 5-8 hour shifts 
• Occasional bending
