Overview:

The Server Assistant is responsible for overseeing table maintenance, maintaining the flow of service and assisting the servers in the dining room. This position requires a motivated hospitality professional who is organized, friendly, and passionate. You will be an integral part of our service team who sets the stage for a memorable meal. You have a passion for food and beverage and you strive to provide selfless hospitality to our guests. You have amazing attention to detail, work well as part of a team, and work well under pressure.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Food and Beverage Server Assistants assists and supports servers, bartenders and room service servers to ensure prompt service and guest's satisfaction.  Server Assistant responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining cleanliness of dining room and equipment
  • Consistently keep the restaurant organized and clean
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
  • Checking food quality and correctness as well as running food
  • Must be able to carry heavy equipment for extended periods of time (trays with food)
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house colleagues
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property
  • Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by company policy
  • Be courteous to all guests and fellow colleagues
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years experience in a fine dining, high -volume atmosphere
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Prior experience as a busser or sever assistant in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to learn and retain information quickly
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to work clean, organized and as part of a team
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
  • May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs

  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
  • Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based in Colorado:

  • 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
  • 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

  • 8 paid holidays per year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
  • Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
