    Amazon is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on our North America Stores Fixed Marketing Finance team, supporting marketing investment strategy and financial efficiency. Amazon has built a comprehensive marketing organization spanning brand campaigns, lifecycle marketing, and performance media across North America. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded candidate who wants to join one of the most impactful and visible marketing finance teams and help shape how we invest in growing customer engagement.

    Key job responsibilities

    As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work directly with marketing leaders to plan for balanced portfolios based on effective measurement and financial efficiency and influence key decisions on marketing strategies and resource allocation.

    A successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments.

    The role requires a self-starter with the ability to be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage the financial responsibilities of a large budget with high visibility to senior stakeholders.

    This role also has regular interaction with executives up to the vice president level and business units across Amazon and therefore requires possession of advanced interpersonal and communication skills.

    A day in the life

    • Present financial insights to senior stakeholders on budget optimization and marketing investment strategy
    • Communicate frequently and effectively with category leaders, using timely and accurate financials to help make business decisions
    • Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary and providing recommendations that influence data-driven decision making.
    • Develop frameworks and build scalable reporting systems for long term investment decision making
    • Align with North America overall marketing objectives and initiatives.
