    POSITION OVERVIEW
    As a Sensory & Analytical Manager Product Design your roles and responsibilities will include:
    The Sensory & Analytical Manager will lead sensory and analytical research supporting pet nutrition product innovation. This person will manage a team of scientists, develop sensory and analytical testing methods, analyze complex research data, and turn findings into actionable product-development recommendations.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead and develop a team of sensory and analytical scientists.
    • Manage sensory and product-design analytical laboratories.
    • Develop and implement innovative sensory testing methodologies.
    • Design and oversee human sensory studies and laboratory experiments.
    • Establish KPIs connecting laboratory results with pet preference and consumer satisfaction.
    • Lead advanced data analysis, visualization, modeling, and reporting.
    • Investigate ingredients, processing parameters, product characteristics, and aesthetics.
    • Partner with Product Development, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams.
    • Translate technical and sensory research into recommendations for product innovation and commercialization.
    • Maintain strong laboratory, product safety, quality, and regulatory practices.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Sensory & Analytical Manager Product Design who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Sensory & Analytical Manager Product Design would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
    Required Qualifications
    • PhD in Sensory Science or a related field.
    • 4+ years of food or pet food industry experience.
    • Direct supervisory experience managing scientific teams.
    • Strong expertise in human sensory study design.
    • Experience with laboratory experimental design and advanced analytical food-testing methods.
    • Understanding of food/product safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    Preferred Background
    • Food Science / Sensory Science
    • Consumer sensory research
    • Product development and innovation
    • Sensory methodology development
    • Statistical/data analysis
    • Laboratory leadership
    • Ingredient/formulation optimization
    • Cross-functional R&D leadership
    Pet food experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with strong human-food sensory science and product-development experience may also be considered.

    Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry
