Job Overview:
This Full Stack Senior Developer role focuses on building and supporting modern developer workspaces and tooling, combining hands-on development with end-user technology expertise and technical evangelism. The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing developer environments (physical, virtual, and browser-based), developing tools primarily in Python and Java, and driving best practices across CI/CD, automation, and Generative AI integration. The goal is to deliver frictionless developer onboarding, robust day-2 support, and highly efficient workflows that meet audit, risk, and governance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain developer workspaces using physical hardware, virtual desktops, and browser-based solutions.
• Develop tools and services primarily in Python and Java to streamline and enhance developer workflows and productivity.
• Collaborate with end-user collaboration and management platforms to create seamless, integrated developer experiences.
• Advocate for and implement CI/CD improvements using new tooling, automation, and commonly available libraries.
• Create and maintain patterns for desktop provisioning and software package management using SCCM, VDI, or similar technologies.
• Lead initiatives to integrate Generative AI capabilities into developer workflows to improve efficiency and value for internal customers.
• Ensure all workspace and tooling solutions comply with audit, risk, and governance requirements.
• Act as a technical evangelist, promoting best practices, tools, and standards within the developer community.
• Educate and mentor other developers on design principles, tooling usage, and modern engineering practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand developer needs and translate them into scalable, supportable technical solutions.
• Support frictionless developer onboarding and provide robust day-2 support for workstation and tooling issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency through automation and process optimization, and drive implementation of those improvements.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture decisions related to developer environments and tooling.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of developer workspace standards.

• Proven experience as a senior-level developer with strong hands-on skills in Python and Java.
• Solid understanding of full stack development concepts and the ability to design and explain technical solutions to other developers.
• Experience designing and implementing developer workspaces using physical, virtualized, or browser-based environments.
• Advanced understanding of container creation, usage, and management (e.g., Docker, container orchestration concepts).
• Familiarity with JavaScript and related ecosystem at an intermediate level.
• Advanced expertise in desktop provisioning and software distribution for end-user technologies.
• Hands-on experience with SCCM, VDI, or similar technologies for managing and deploying workstation solutions.
• Ability to advocate for best practices and innovative solutions, acting as a technical evangelist within engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, educate, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders.
• Understanding of cloud and on-premises networking concepts at an intermediate level.
• Familiarity with audit, risk, and governance practices, and the ability to design solutions that comply with these requirements.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into cloud or developer solutions at an intermediate level.
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts, use cases, and how they can be applied to developer workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on coding, system optimization, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship, as required by the engagement.

Pay Range: $80/hr - $90/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
