ABOUT THE ROLE

A global financial services organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Windows Infrastructure Administrator to support a broad enterprise technology environment. This role has direct ownership across Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Exchange, VDI, backup, storage, security, and infrastructure troubleshooting within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of enterprise systems administration experience, strong VMware and Windows/AD expertise, and professional Mandarin-speaking ability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Administer VMware vSphere infrastructure, virtual machines, and related production systems.
• Support VMware Horizon or comparable enterprise VDI environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, users, groups, permissions, and access controls.
• Administer and troubleshoot on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server and related messaging services.
• Diagnose and resolve complex server, operating system, application, networking, and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain security baselines, endpoint protection, antivirus, access controls, and patching standards.
• Support enterprise backup operations and assist with SAN storage and server hardware.
• Provide escalated end-user and desktop support when issues require infrastructure-level troubleshooting.
• Coordinate technical issues and solutions with vendors and internal technology, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Maintain infrastructure inventory, licensing records, procedures, and technical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of hands-on systems administration or enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere experience.
• Strong Active Directory and Group Policy expertise.
• Microsoft Exchange Server administration or support experience.
• Enterprise VDI experience;VMware Horizon preferred.
• Experience supporting production server infrastructure and resolving escalated technical issues.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, endpoint protection, antivirus, access controls, and patching.
• Mandarin-speaking ability sufficient for professional workplace communication.
• Banking or regulated financial-services experience preferred.
• Cisco UCS, SAN storage, enterprise backup, or x86 server experience preferred.
• Microsoft or VMware certifications are a plus.
• Must be available onsite 5 days per week in the NYC area.
