The Senior Web Administrator will perform advanced web administration, development, design, governance, accessibility, and technical implementation for enterprise public-facing and internal websites. This position will lead complex website initiatives, CMS enhancements, accessibility compliance, SEO, UX improvements, web performance optimization, and technical troubleshooting while serving as a key technical advisor to business and technology stakeholders.

The role requires a combination of hands-on web development expertise and technical leadership, with responsibility for maintaining secure, accessible, high-performing, and user-friendly enterprise websites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex enterprise website projects, redesigns, and functionality enhancements from concept through deployment.

  • Administer, develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise websites and web applications.

  • Lead SEO, UX, information architecture, and website performance improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and enhance web solutions using:

    • HTML

    • CSS

    • JavaScript

    • Reusable Components

    • Templates

    • Widgets

  • Perform advanced website maintenance and layout enhancements.

  • Ensure cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive compatibility.

  • Troubleshoot:

    • Broken Links

    • Page Errors

    • Search Issues

    • Application Errors

    • Website Functionality Problems

  • Implement and maintain WCAG and Section 508 accessibility compliance.

  • Monitor website traffic, user behavior, performance, capacity, and site speed.

  • Develop web analytics reports and recommend improvements.

  • Serve as a CMS subject matter expert and recommend platform enhancements.

  • Manage complex content updates while maintaining accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.

  • Collaborate with business SMEs and content owners on website content and UX best practices.

  • Conduct usability testing and website assessments.

  • Establish and improve enterprise web governance processes and standards.

  • Support web server monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Minimize website downtime through proactive monitoring and timely escalation.

  • Implement web security, vulnerability protection, and backup practices.

  • Participate in CMS implementations, migrations, and upgrades.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical web solutions.

  • Develop and maintain web standards, workflows, and governance procedures.

  • Support Statements of Work (SOWs), RFPs, and technology evaluations.

  • Participate in cross-functional website governance initiatives.

  • Coordinate with legal, accessibility, business, and IT stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements.

  • Support interactive digital tools and broader digital communication initiatives.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to web and technical staff.

  • Maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience administering, developing, and/or maintaining enterprise websites.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading or overseeing enterprise web initiatives.

  • Strong experience with:

    • Enterprise CMS Platforms

    • Web Servers

    • Web Applications

    • Application Troubleshooting

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • HTML

    • CSS

    • JavaScript

    • Web Application Architecture

    • Enterprise Web Technologies

  • Strong knowledge of WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards.

  • Experience implementing web accessibility requirements.

  • Knowledge of web security best practices and vulnerability protection.

  • Experience with programming and scripting technologies.

  • Understanding of database concepts and software development methodologies.

  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing enterprise websites.

  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Experience leading technical web projects and establishing web standards.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Kentico CMS or a comparable enterprise CMS platform.

  • SEO strategy and implementation.

  • UX/UI and information architecture.

  • Web analytics and performance monitoring.

  • Website governance and content lifecycle management.

  • CMS migration and implementation experience.

  • Usability testing.

  • Web server administration.

  • Digital accessibility testing.

  • Experience supporting public-sector or regulated websites.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain complex enterprise websites and web applications.

  • Strong technical leadership and web governance experience.

  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex web and CMS issues.

  • Strong understanding of accessibility, security, performance, and enterprise web standards.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

  • Qualifying professional experience beyond the minimum requirement may substitute for education.

Certifications:

  • IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) Preferred

  • IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Preferred

  • Kentico Certification Preferred

  • Google Analytics Certification Preferred

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Preferred
