Job Title:Senior VMware Migration Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Assess enterprise VMware environments including vCenter, ESXi, clusters, storage, networking, and VM dependencies.
Develop and execute VM migration plans, including migration waves, cutover, validation, and rollback.
Perform migrations using vMotion, Storage vMotion, Cross-vCenter vMotion, HCX, and replication-based methods.
Prepare target VMware environments including clusters, datastores, port groups, resource pools, and VM policies.
Troubleshoot migration issues involving network, storage, replication, vCenter, and ESXi.
Analyze and migrate NSX-T/NSX-V firewall rules, security groups, tags, micro-segmentation, and T0/T1 routing.
Work closely with VMware, Network, Security, and Application teams during migration and cutover.
Create migration runbooks, architecture/network diagrams, and technical documentation.
Present migration plans, risks, progress, and recommendations to client leadership.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of enterprise virtualization/data center experience with strong VMware expertise.
VCP certification required; VCAP is a plus.
Strong experience with vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, HA/DRS, vDS, vSAN, VMFS/NFS, and SAN.
Hands-on experience with HCX, Cross-vCenter vMotion, VMware Converter, and replication.
Strong NSX-T/NSX-V and enterprise networking knowledge.
PowerCLI required; Python is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2, or FedRAMP environments is a plus
