Senior Vice President of Finance – Aventura, FL

A high-growth, founder-led organization in the Aventura area is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to serve as a strategic financial leader and key partner to executive leadership.

This is a highly visible, build-and-scale role for someone who can help shape financial strategy, strengthen infrastructure and controls, develop the Finance and Accounting organization, and translate financial information into actionable business decisions. The position is intended for a leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while balancing strategic oversight with the technical depth to step into the details when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial partner to executive leadership
• Help shape financial strategy, business planning, budgeting, and capital decisions
• Lead and develop the Finance and Accounting organization
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Ensure strong GAAP practices and accurate, timely financial reporting
• Provide oversight of the close process, reconciliations, controls, and financial analysis
• Lead cash-flow forecasting, treasury, banking relationships, and financing activities
• Oversee audit, tax, risk-management, and regulatory matters
• Support revenue recognition across multiple revenue streams
• Provide leadership across multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and related-party transactions
• Improve financial systems, reporting, controls, and processes as the organization scales
• Partner cross-functionally with senior leaders to identify issues and drive solutions
• Support acquisition due diligence and other strategic initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Proven leadership experience at the Controller, Senior Controller, VP of Finance, CFO, or comparable senior finance level
• Strong GAAP and financial-reporting expertise
• Revenue-recognition experience
• Experience leading and developing Finance and Accounting teams
• Experience within a complex, multi-entity organization
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to build processes, controls, and infrastructure in a growing organization
• Strong ERP and financial-systems experience; NetSuite experience is highly relevant
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets capabilities
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Comfortable working directly with executive leadership and making decisions in an environment where processes may still be evolving

• CPA or CMA
• MBA or other advanced degree
• M&A
• E-commerce or multiple revenue streams
• International finance
• Family office or closely held business exposure

Compensation & Schedule

• $200,000–$275,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Direct-hire opportunity
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• 100% onsite in Aventura, FL
