BNY is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Senior Vice President, Business & Function Finance, to support our Infrastructure and Cyber platforms. This role will serve as a senior partner to engineering leadership, helping drive operational excellence across workforce strategy, financial oversight, vendor governance, and executive decision support.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong business management and financial acumen, a proven ability to influence across senior stakeholders, and deep experience operating in a large, matrixed environment. This role requires someone who can bring structure to complexity, connect long-term strategic priorities to execution, and help shape how the organization plans, invests, and operates.
We're seeking a future team member for the role of SVP to join our Engineering Finance team. This role is located in New York.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Partner closely with senior engineering leaders to drive business planning and execution across Infrastructure and Cyber platforms
Lead workforce planning activities, including capacity strategy, headcount forecasting, hiring prioritization, and talent demand management
Work in close partnership with finance leadership to align workforce strategy, vendor demand, and financial performance
Lead reporting and analytics that support executive decision-making around organization health, investment trade-offs, and operational priorities
Oversee vendor planning and governance across external labor, software, and purchased services categories
Provide leadership oversight for procurement coordination, spending governance, and demand management processes
Develop high-impact executive reporting and presentation materials for senior leadership forums and business reviews
Drive process optimization and management discipline across core business management functions
Support transformation initiatives and help evolve the operating model to enable long-term organizational effectiveness and scale
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Significant experience in business management, workforce management, chief of staff leadership, or a related discipline within a complex global organization
Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives and influencing across a highly matrixed stakeholder environment
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Strong executive communication and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership forums
Proven ability to lead through complexity, manage competing priorities, and drive execution across multiple workstreams
Preferred qualifications
Experience supporting engineering, infrastructure, cyber, or large-scale technology organizations
Deep familiarity with workforce planning, vendor governance, and resource management
Experience aligning workforce planning with financial forecasts and business strategy
Exposure to enterprise transformation, operating model evolution, or large organizational change programs
Strong track record of process improvement, operational discipline, and stakeholder leadership
