    Do you have a passion for aviation and operational excellence? Amazon Air operates a global air cargo network with a fleet of over 100 cargo aircraft serving more than 70 airports in North America, Europe, and Asia.

    We are looking for a Senior Vendor Manager to serve as the Account Leader for third-party ground handling vendors operating across Amazon Air"s North America station network. This role owns the full supplier lifecycle, from sourcing strategy and contract negotiation through day-to-day operational performance. The Senior Vendor Manager is the primary commercial interface between Amazon and vendor executive leadership, accountable for driving service quality, managing costs, and delivering results for our customers.

    This role requires someone who can move between contract structuring and performance management, with a bias toward action and a high bar for customer outcomes

    Key job responsibilities

    • Partner with key stakeholders to lead, support, and influence vendor strategy across the Amazon Air ground operations network to enhance performance and lower cost to serve
    • Lead sourcing activities for new and rebid contracts: develop RFP/RFI packages, evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate rates and commercial terms, and execute agreements aligned to network needs
    • Own the vendor relationship with senior and executive leadership; translate performance data into actionable improvement plans with defined timelines
    • Build strong partnerships with commercial, operational, technical, and finance leaders to identify and eliminate constraints
    • Establish robust mechanisms for data-driven decision-making, continuous process improvement, and executive-ready reporting
    • Navigate through ambiguity to manage and deliver results on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
