Description
Under the direction of the Chief TV Engineer and Technology, the Senior TV Engineer (IT Maintenance) performs a variety of complex and specialized duties of a television broadcast IT in nature involving the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of television broadcast IT systems, software, equipment, and related systems at Milwaukee PBS Television stations. Performs duties as "Engineer in Charge" on station and remote productions.
Work is varied using established procedures requiring judgment and the making of decisions including supervision and delegation to other specialists. Supervision received is general in nature while works independently referring unusual situations to the supervisor for decision or advice.

Qualifications
Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirement, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.
Required Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in television broadcast IT, TV engineering, or related field and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in television broadcast IT/TV engineering functions; or other equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in television broadcast IT, TV engineering, or related field and at least seven (7) of progressively responsible work experience in television broadcast IT/ TV engineering functions.
Preferred Licensure/Certification: Appropriate SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers) certifications and/or IT certifications are preferred such as Microsoft networking certification or Microsoft server certification.

Start Date
This position supports Milwaukee PBS and is available starting as soon as possible.
Hours
This position is a 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per work week. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. This position works in-person at Milwaukee PBS located in Downtown PBS.
Salary
Salary is listed to the midpoint of the salary range and is based on the 2026/2027 rates and are determined by years of experience credit and internal salary equity.
