Description


Our client, a leading wealth management and advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Trust Officer to help lead and grow its Nevada trust business. This is a senior fiduciary leadership role responsible for trust administration, regulatory compliance, client relationship management, and business development.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience administering complex trusts, strong knowledge of Nevada trust law and fiduciary requirements, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, business partners, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer trusts, agency accounts, and IRAs in accordance with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Nevada trust business.

  • Support business development initiatives, strengthen market presence, and develop new client and advisor relationships.

  • Manage day-to-day fiduciary relationships and serve as the primary trust officer for designated clients.

  • Review and interpret complex estate planning and trust documents and communicate findings to trustors, beneficiaries, and advisors.

  • Ensure compliance with fiduciary, legal, ERISA, IRS, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain trust administration policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Advise clients and prospective clients regarding estate planning, trust administration, tax considerations, and related financial matters.

  • Partner with senior leadership and internal teams to improve service delivery, operational effectiveness, and client outcomes.

  • Represent the organization within professional, industry, and community organizations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in trust administration, fiduciary services, estate planning, or a related trust company environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Nevada trust laws, fiduciary standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Experience administering complex trust, agency, and retirement accounts.

  • Ability to interpret sophisticated estate planning documents and understand related tax implications.

  • Strong client relationship management and business development skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, advisors, attorneys, senior executives, and other stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, discretion, and a high level of fiduciary responsibility.

  • Experience working within a trust company, bank trust department, wealth management firm, family office, or similar environment strongly preferred.

Location: Nevada – Hybrid/primarily remote. Candidates must be based in Nevada and able to travel for client and business partner meetings throughout Nevada, with occasional travel to the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles.

Compensation: $150,000–$180,000 annual base salary. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs. The position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with employer match.
