The Opportunity
A rapidly growing Southern California trust and estate litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to take ownership of high-value matters and play a leadership role within the practice.
This position is ideal for an experienced litigator who enjoys strategy, courtroom work, and mentoring junior attorneys, and who is looking for a clear path toward long-term leadership and partnership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead trust and estate litigation matters from intake through resolution or trial
Develop and execute case strategy with minimal oversight
Draft and argue substantive motions
Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and experts
Handle court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff
Collaborate with partners on firm-wide litigation strategy and growth
Qualifications
Active California Bar license in good standing
7-10+ years of litigation experience
2+ years of focused trust and estate litigation experience
First- or second-chaired multiple trust/probate trials
Deep working knowledge of the California Probate Code, CCP, and Evidence Code
Strong legal writing, courtroom presence, and client communication skills
Comfortable running cases independently and leading teams
