Role Overview:<\/span>
<\/p>

We are seeking an experienced and motivated <\/span>Senior Traffic Engineer <\/span>to join a high -performing team delivering innovative transportation engineering solutions that improve community mobility and safety. You will partner with senior leadership and engineering staff, as well as public sector clients at state, regional, and local levels, to lead impactful projects in Pennsylvania and surrounding regions.<\/span>

This position is fully remote within Pennsylvania.<\/span>

<\/p>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span>
<\/div>
  • Lead and support <\/span>traffic engineering<\/span>, <\/span>signal operations/signal timing<\/span>, and <\/span>ITS design and integration <\/span>projects.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Develop and implement strategies for <\/span>arterial traffic flow and safety improvements<\/span>.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Prepare <\/span>system performance metrics<\/span>, <\/span>operational procedures<\/span>, <\/span>deficiency reports<\/span>, and <\/span>mitigation plans<\/span>.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Collaborate with agencies on traffic signal and arterial system operation and maintenance.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Provide on -site <\/span>signal timing implementation<\/span>, tuning, and troubleshooting support.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Lead <\/span>client coordination and stakeholder engagement<\/span>.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Support business development and <\/span>strategic growth initiatives <\/span>in the region.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Mentor junior engineering and planning staff and contribute to team development.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Guide the definition and proposal development for new client needs.<\/span>

    Requirements:<\/span>
    <\/p>

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Professional Engineer (PE) <\/span>or <\/span>PTOE certification <\/span>(or IMSA certification) highly desirable.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Minimum of <\/span>5 years’ experience <\/span>in transportation engineering or related discipline.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • At least <\/span>3 years’ experience <\/span>managing public sector engineering projects and teams.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proven experience working with <\/span>PennDOT <\/span>or other public agencies in the region.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proficiency in tools such as <\/span>Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, AutoCAD, MicroStation<\/span>.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proficient in <\/span>Microsoft Office Suite<\/span>.<\/span>
