    Job Description:
    The Senior Testing Consultant serves as a subject matter expert in software testing, quality assurance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing advanced testing leadership for complex enterprise applications. The consultant supports both Agile and traditional project teams by designing, executing, and validating comprehensive testing activities to ensure business and technical requirements are met while delivering high-quality software solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and analyze business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria to ensure completeness, clarity, and testability.
    • Develop, maintain, and update Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test suites.
    • Execute end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression, integration, exploratory, accessibility, performance, and security testing.
    • Validate functional and non-functional requirements while ensuring systems meet business expectations and release readiness criteria.
    • Log, track, prioritize, retest, and verify defects using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar defect management tools.
    • Participate in defect triage meetings by assessing defect severity, business impact, and recommending resolutions.
    • Prepare and manage test data, validate test environments, and ensure UAT readiness before execution.
    • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, project managers, vendors, and technical teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Support Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Conduct integration testing across multiple applications, services, APIs, and third-party systems.
    • Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with automation engineers using Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
    • Develop testing best practices, QA documentation, training materials, templates, and process improvement initiatives.
    • Produce daily and weekly testing metrics, defect reports, test summaries, quality dashboards, and release readiness reports.
    • Monitor defect trends, test coverage, quality metrics, and testing risks while recommending mitigation strategies.
    • Define testing approaches, quality gates, entry/exit criteria, release strategies, and go/no-go recommendations.
    • Lead QA/UAT activities for complex cross-functional projects while mentoring business users and testing teams.
    • Continuously improve testing processes, documentation standards, collaboration practices, and overall software quality.

    Required Skills:

    • 10+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, and User Acceptance Testing.
    • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies.
    • Extensive experience creating test strategies, test plans, RTMs, test cases, defect reports, and release readiness documentation.
    • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar test management and defect tracking tools.
    • Experience performing manual, regression, integration, exploratory, accessibility, performance, and security testing.
    • Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle management, risk-based testing, test coverage analysis, and quality assurance best practices.
    • Familiarity with test automation concepts and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Robot Framework.
    • Experience preparing and managing test data for UAT and integration testing.
    • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
    • Experience in government, healthcare, or other regulated environments is highly preferred
