Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Job Summary: The PCS Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, executing, and documenting comprehensive teststrategies for the Payload Control System (PCS), a critical component of our advanced defense solutions. The PCSsupports various payloads, ensuring operational effectiveness and integration within broader systems. This roleincludes systems engineering tasking to support overall system development and integration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures for the PCS to ensure it meetsoperational requirements and performance standards

Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests for hardware and softwarecomponents

Perform system troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve defects

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, systems engineers, and other testengineers, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective defect resolution

Document test results, track defects, generate test reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders

Develop test fixtures, equipment specifications, and diagnostic programs for new products

Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes

Support field testing and validation activities as required

Support systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, system design reviews, technicaldocumentation, and interface coordination as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Technology degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related specialized area/field, orequivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 2 years of relevant experience; orMasters degree

Proven experience in software/system testing and validation, preferably within defense or aerospaceindustries

Strong understanding of test methodologies, test design techniques, and quality assurance best practices

Familiarity with the Payload Control System and integration within larger defense systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Desired Skills:

Experience with advanced defense systems and combat system testing

Knowledge of various payloads and their integration

Proficiency in DOORS, automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, pytest)

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)

Knowledge of Navy maintenance procedures and philosophies, especially for combat systems

Experience with systems engineering processes, requirements management, and technical documentation
