Pay Range: $80 - $83/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)
Key Responsibilities:- Perform site surveys and assessments for new construction and renovation projects
- Design structured cabling infrastructure for copper and fiber optic systems
- Develop telecommunications room layouts, including MDF and IDF spaces
- Write construction scopes of work and cabling specifications
- Prepare design documentation and support project deliverables
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and design documents
- Verify fiber test results and confirm completed work meets specifications
- Perform periodic site visits to inspect progress and validate installation quality
- Support QA/QC reviews and ensure contractor work aligns with design intent
- Help define cable pathways, conduit sizing, and telecom infrastructure requirements
- Support documentation for scope revisions, renovation planning, and infrastructure upgrades
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- 10+ years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage infrastructure, or telecommunications design
- Strong background in new construction, renovation, or large commercial/campus environments
- Experience writing scopes of work, technical specifications, or construction documents
- Experience reviewing contractor work and performing field verification or QA/QC
- Strong knowledge of:
- Structured copper and fiber cabling
- MDF / IDF planning
- Cable pathways and conduit design
- Telecommunications room design
- Low-voltage infrastructure
- Fiber test result review and validation
- Ability to coordinate with multiple project stakeholders
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- RCDD certification
- Healthcare, hospital, or medical center experience
- Experience supporting large building programs, campuses, or multi-site construction
- AutoCAD experience
- Visio experience
- Revit experience
- Knowledge of telecom-related codes, standards, and construction practices
