The Lodi Public School district is seeking the following:
POSITION: SENIOR TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
LOCATION: Lincoln School
EFFECTIVE: July 1, 2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year college degree in CS / CIS
- 5+ years' experience as Network Administrator / Server Administrator required
- Experience with Cisco or Fortinet switches and wireless networking required
- Working knowledge of Windows operating system and applications, Mac OS and applications, iOS and applications, Chrome OS and Chromebooks
- Must have demonstrated competency: Windows networking, Apple / iPad equipment, file servers, print servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, software deployment technologies, backup / storage management, OS imaging (using SCCM), virtualization clustering)
- Knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V
- Knowledge of open-source monitoring tools
- Knowledge of open-source storage operating systems
- Google Workspace experience a plus
- Demonstration of sound decision making in accomplishment of goals
- Ability to appropriately communicate with students, teachers, administrators, and vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, approaching work in a meticulous and thorough manner
- Ability and interest in learning new technology in a rapidly moving environment
- Ability to run and terminate Ethernet cabling
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor and manage network firewalls and Internet filtering
- Maintain local area network (LAN) including switches and wireless access points
- Conduct periodic assessment and report network status
- Maintain records on cable locations, port assignments and network addresses.
- Accomplish work in a timely manner with minimum disturbance to educational and administrative operations
- Keep current on existing and emerging products and practices related to the district's hardware and network needs. Keep computer technicians and other staff members current about relevant products and practices
- Analyze District needs for network reliability. Control day-to-day network traffic management functions
- Handle support calls and or emails from administration and staff
- Troubleshoot software (e.g. server, client machines, spyware, virus, user rights) and hardware (e.g. cables, switches, and components) issues for staff and students
- Performs hardware repair where practical on desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, Interactive panels, etc.
- Assist in the planning, purchasing, installing, maintenance, and inventory of computers and related hardware / software
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Reports to District Director of Technology

- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must regularly lift equipment
SALARY: $80,000; Negotiable commensurate with experience.
