The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC/R systems across commercial and industrial environments. This role ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards while managing preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and longevity. The position involves coordinating field teams, mentoring technicians, and overseeing service operations to meet business priorities. What you''ll do:

  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
  • Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVAC/R codes.
  • Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating technician skill development.
  • Maintain parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service schedules to meet operational priorities.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support critical business needs outside regular hours.

What you''ll bring:

  • Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and building pneumatics.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes.
  • Ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating technician performance.
  • Proficiency in managing parts inventory, vendor relationships, and coordinating service calls to meet business priorities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to support cross-functional teams and continuous process improvements.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
