Role summary:

The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, manages refrigerant handling, and coordinates field teams to optimize equipment performance. The position requires detailed documentation, vendor coordination, and participation in on-call rotations to support critical business needs. The Senior Technician also mentors team members, supports process improvements, and contributes to special projects, driving operational excellence and adherence to regulatory requirements across multiple facilities.

What you''ll do:

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and building pneumatics.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling, parts inventory, and vendor relationships in compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating skill development.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs and incident resolution.
• Maintain company vehicles and ensure adherence to safety and operational policies.

What you''ll bring:

• Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and ductwork.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes.
• Ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating technician performance.
• Proficiency in managing parts inventory, vendor relationships, and coordinating service workloads to meet business priorities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to support process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
