Role summary:

The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems. This role ensures regulatory compliance, oversees preventive maintenance programs, and manages refrigerant handling in accordance with EPA and OSHA standards. The position involves coordinating field teams, mentoring technicians, and managing vendor relationships to support operational efficiency. The Senior Technician also participates in emergency response, conducts technical training, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to maintain optimal system performance and support business priorities across multiple sites.

What you''ll do:

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and control panels.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Manage refrigerant handling, leak detection, and compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating technician performance.
• Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service calls to meet operational priorities.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support critical business needs and emergency repairs.

What you''ll bring:

• Proven expertise in HVAC and refrigeration systems installation, maintenance, and repair, including rooftop units and commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues using root cause analysis techniques.
• EPA Section 608 Certification and thorough knowledge of refrigerant leak detection, recovery, and environmental compliance.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and work order systems to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Ability to lead and develop field teams, providing hands-on training and mentoring to enhance technical capabilities.
• Proficiency in vendor management, parts inventory control, and coordinating multi-site operations.
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and regulatory compliance in all facility service activities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
