Role summary:

The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role involves diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, managing preventive maintenance programs, and overseeing refrigeration units to optimize performance. Responsible for managing parts inventory and refrigerant levels, the team follows industry regulations and company policies. What you''ll do:

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVAC/R codes.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating skill development.
• Track parts inventory, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate service calls to meet business priorities.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support critical operational needs outside standard hours.

What you''ll bring:

• Extensive experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including commercial and industrial refrigeration units.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and development.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes.
• Proficiency in managing parts inventory, vendor relationships, and coordinating service workloads to meet business priorities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
