Senior Technical Project Manager–Financial Systems, Transformation& SAC Reporting

Position Overview

We are seeking an enterprise-grade Senior Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead complex financial systems transformation initiatives.
This role requires a unique intersection of deeply technical project governance, heavy third-party vendor oversight, and robust financial acumen.
The ideal candidate will orchestrate large-scale transformation projects that modernize our financial forecasting and month-end close frameworks.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 8+ years of technical project management experience.
Professional Credentialing: A current PMP certification (or a strictly verifiable equivalent like PgMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner) is mandatory.
Tooling Suite: Mastery of Planview for portfolio management AND deep implementation experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & Financial Transformation SAC Delivery Leadership: Direct the architecture and delivery of modern executive dashboards, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis reports built inside SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Month-End Close Optimization: Leverage SAC reporting and ERP data integration to streamline and automate core financial workflows, drastically reducing the month-end close cycle time. Forecasting Precision: Implement driver-based budgeting and predictive finance modeling projects to scale forecasting accuracy across business units.
2. Vendor Management & Governance Strategic Partnership Oversight: Act as the primary technical point of contact for external system integrators, third-party software providers, and consulting partners. SOW & SLA Accountability: Review and negotiate detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and define stringent Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Hold vendors fully accountable to technical design milestones and budget allocations.
3. Project Management & Planview Governance Enterprise Delivery: Lead high-visibility financial technology projects from inception through production deployment using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall frameworks. Planview Administration: Own project modeling within Planview, managing project schedules, resource capacity planning, and multi-million dollar capital expenditure (CapEx) / operational expenditure (OpEx) financial tracking.

Required Qualifications & SkillsTechnical & Domain Expertise 8+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in IT Project Management specifically overseeing complex financial systems architectures (ERP/EPM ecosystems).
PMP Certification: Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or a directly equivalent enterprise credential is required.
SAC Reporting Expertise: Extensive hands-on project delivery experience involving SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including setting up live data connections (e.g., S/4HANA), data modeling, and story/dashboard creation for executive leadership.
Planview Mastery: Strong background utilizing Planview (Enterprise One, LeanKit, or PPM Pro) as the source of truth for portfolio health.
Financial Literacy: Deep functional understanding of corporate accounting, GAAP/IFRS compliance, and the critical path dependencies of the month-end close.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, Accounting, or a related technical field.
