We are looking for a highly skilled professional to oversee dynamic high-altitude balloon and radar technology initiatives from inception to successful delivery. This prominent role requires a blend of technical acumen, strategic program leadership, and customer relationship management. You will act as a key consultant for clients and executive teams, ensuring project parameters meet both technical and business requirements, optimizing outcomes in cost, timing, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Champion the entire life cycle of multifaceted projects, prioritizing budget, timeframes, technical excellence, and client satisfaction.
- Act as the focal point of communication and strategy between clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to define project needs and mold innovative technical solutions throughout the project's lifecycle, from concept to execution.
- Transform client expectations into detailed technical specifications and system requirements.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, contract negotiation, supply logistics, and business strategies.
- Drive development in product design, technical road mapping, feature prioritization, and system integration.
- Take part in design assessment to ensure alignment with client demands and industry standards.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to extend current projects, explore new applications, and nurture client partnerships.
- Support business strategy development and proposal creation with technical insights and project management expertise.
- Forge partnerships with clients and collaborators to craft cutting-edge solutions utilizing collaborative technology.
- Monitor project performance against budget and schedule commitments, implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Manage procurement and logistics to enable smooth program delivery.
- Ensure all project requirements are clearly communicated and adhered to by vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication through status updates and technical presentations.
- Mentor junior project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Represent our organization at client engagements, industry gatherings, and technology symposiums.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years in relevant positions, with at least 4 years in high-level program management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record managing complex engineering or system development undertakings.
- Strong background in systems engineering, with ability to effectively communicate with technical teams.
- Familiarity with U.S. Government clients, especially within the DoD or intelligence sectors.
- Knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations and processes.
- Experience with U.S. Government acquisition stages, including RFPs and contract management.
- Competent in managing program finances, projections, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Proven capability to prioritize and make informed decisions in complex environments.
Preferred:
- Graduate degree or MBA
- PMP certification
- Experience leading engineering teams.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or complex technology projects.
- Military or government service experience.
