    Description

At Amazon, we're inventing on behalf of customers, and with Amazon Leo, we're redefining what global connectivity looks like. Our mission is to deliver fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world through a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Every system we build helps connect people to education, healthcare, opportunity, and each other.

Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.

The M365 Engineering team configures, deploys, and manages Microsoft 365 productivity services, delivering secure, reliable, and highly-available collaboration tools that power daily operations for Amazon Leo users.

We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organized Technical Program Manager (TPM) with exceptional interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and proven experience leading large-scale technical initiatives. In this role, you will manage technical projects and workstreams to design, implement, and operate the M365 suite within the GCC High Environment. You will collaborate closely with third-party vendors, Amazon Security teams, and key stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver an exceptional productivity experience for Leo-specific resources.

This individual contributor role offers broad organizational influence. You will drive alignment and execution by leveraging your technical domain expertise, strong program management fundamentals, and trusted cross-functional partnerships.

    Key job responsibilities

As a Technical Program Manager, you will develop integrated plans, drive execution, and remove blockers to enable teams to deliver faster with higher quality. Your ability to anticipate challenges and proactively manage dependencies and risks will be critical to our success.

You will gain deep understanding of technical requirements for solutions being built-including architecture, dependency impacts, efficiency, performance, availability, and operability. You will balance the needs of engineers who build, maintain, and extend features throughout the system lifecycle, making appropriate trade-offs between technical constraints and business objectives.

Partnering effectively with technical managers, you will secure resources, scope engineering efforts, set project priorities and milestones, and drive delivery. You will guide teams in identifying opportunities for iterative improvements.

You will lead multiple complex projects simultaneously, providing project leadership while anticipating bottlenecks, mitigating risks, quantifying trade-off impacts, and balancing business needs against technical constraints. Working closely with stakeholders across various teams, you will identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long-term product roadmaps.

Our ideal candidate brings a strong TPM background with demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational technical programs and a solid technical foundation in Microsoft M365 services.

Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
