    Tax Senior Associate

    Location: Tampa, Florida

    Overview

    A growing public accounting platform is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join its Tampa office as the firm continues to expand through a recent strategic combination with Teeling & Co. This integration strengthens technical capabilities, expands client service offerings, and creates additional long-term career development opportunities within the practice.

    This role is designed for a tax professional with 2–6 years of public accounting experience who is ready to take on increased responsibility in both compliance and client-facing work. You will support a diverse portfolio of individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and other closely held entities while building technical expertise and developing into a future leadership track within a collaborative, people-first environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare a broad range of tax returns including individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and other business entities
    • Assist with preparation of financial statement reviews
    • Conduct tax research to resolve basic to intermediate-level client issues
    • Support client engagements with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and service quality
    • Build strong internal relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
    • Deliver a high-touch client experience through proactive communication and execution
    • Assist in mentoring and developing interns and junior staff
    • Contribute to firm initiatives and community involvement efforts
    • Support client success through timely and accurate completion of deliverables

    Qualifications

    • 2–6 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry
    • CPA license preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Strong experience with individual and entity tax compliance
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
    • Team-oriented mindset with interest in mentoring others
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
    • High integrity and professional standards
