    About the Opportunity


    Our client, a well-established and highly respected CPA firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its growing team.     Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, trusts, and estates.
    • Perform tax planning and research to identify opportunities that minimize client tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing responsive, professional service.
    • Research complex tax issues and prepare technical memorandums and recommendations.
    • Review financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax reporting.
    • Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and inquiries from federal and state taxing authorities.
    • Collaborate with partners and managers on tax strategies and client engagements.
    • Mentor and assist junior staff by reviewing work, providing technical guidance, and supporting professional development.
    • Stay current on changing tax laws, regulations, and industry developments.
    • Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines during busy season while maintaining a high level of accuracy.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
    • CPA license preferred or actively pursuing certification.
    • 3-6+ years of public accounting tax experience.
    • Strong knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary taxation.
    • Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
    • Familiarity with tax research tools and tax preparation software.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.


    Preferred Experience

    • CPA license or CPA candidate.
    • Experience with agricultural, real estate, manufacturing, or closely held business clients is a plus.
    • Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior staff.
