High-Net-Worth Tax & Advisory
Our client, an established Northeast Ohio financial planning and tax advisory organization, is seeking an experienced tax professional to help support and expand its growing tax practice. This opportunity combines sophisticated individual tax compliance with year-round tax planning, direct client relationships and the chance to take on increasing leadership responsibility.
Work closely with tax professionals and financial advisors serving individuals, families and business owners. The practice completed more than 660 tax returns last year, primarily individual returns, and continues to expand. The successful candidate will contribute immediately to tax preparation and review while helping strengthen client advisory services and tax-team processes.
Prepare and review federal and state individual income tax returns, including complex investment, retirement and rental-property matters.
Support returns and related tax issues involving trusts, estates, partnerships and S corporations, according to experience.
Identify proactive planning opportunities involving Roth conversions, retirement distributions, charitable giving, estate considerations and business-owner taxation.
Explain tax matters clearly to clients and collaborate with financial advisors on coordinated planning.
Help guide tax workflows, quality review, deadlines and team development; contribute to technology and process improvements.
Build lasting client relationships and participate in client education as appropriate.
Substantial individual tax preparation and review experience, ideally including complex or high-net-worth client work.
CPA license
Strong judgment, communication and client-service skills.
Ability to organize work and lead or grow into leading a collaborative tax team.
Experience in public accounting, private-client tax, family office or a comparable tax-focused environment.
Familiarity with business returns, trusts/estates and tax planning is advantageous; experience with Drake or Salesforce is helpful, not required.
The typical schedule is Monday through Thursday in the office, and remote Friday morning, with Friday afternoons off. Tax season and extension deadlines require additional hours. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, professional development, safe-harbor 401(k) and profit sharing subject to plan eligibility.
Move beyond a purely seasonal preparation focus into year-round planning, sophisticated client work and a growing integrated wealth-advisory environment. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on how a tax practice serves clients and operates.
