Senior Tax Accountant - Insurance - Chicago - Hybrid

A well-established Insurance organization is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support corporate tax compliance, reporting, and financial analysis across multiple entities. This role partners closely with finance leadership and external advisors to manage tax processes, support audits, and ensure timely regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare quarterly tax provisions and related disclosures for GAAP and statutory reporting
• Review federal and state tax filings and maintain tax reconciliations
• Process quarterly estimates and tax payments
• Respond to tax notices, audit requests, and external advisor inquiries
• Research and interpret new tax regulations and communicate business impact
• Support financial statement preparation and analytics for affiliated entities
• Coordinate annual audit documentation and cross-functional audit activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of corporate tax experience preferred
• Understanding of GAAP, statutory accounting, and book-to-tax adjustments
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
