Description

Our client, a tenured public accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to prepare and review tax engagements, support client relationships, and contribute to proactive tax planning. This role is built for tax professionals seeking meaningful advisory work, strong mentorship, and a sustainable work-life balance—including a 53-hour busy season expectation—within a 100% employee-owned firm. 

Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: Greater Cincinnati Area (Hybrid and Remote Options Available). Candidates must reside within the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area.
Pay Range: $80,000-$120,000 per year, based on experience
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review complex business and individual tax returns, supporting compliance for partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and pass-through entities. 
  • Advisory & Planning: Assist with strategic tax planning, research tax issues, and identify proactive client advisory opportunities. 
  • Engagement & Client Relations: Lead client engagements across diverse industries, building trusted year-round relationships through responsive communication. 
  • Team Guidance: Mentor staff accountants, collaborate with firm leadership, and contribute to the firm's overall growth as an employee-owner. 
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • 2–4 years of public accounting tax experience. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 
  • Active CPA or EA license (or active progress toward certification). 
  • Hands-on experience preparing business tax returns and managing deadlines. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with individual, partnership, S-corp, or C-corp returns. 
  • Prior tax planning or , client advisory experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and QuickBooks Online experience.
