Title: Senior Systems Verification Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA - Onsite, 5 Days/Week
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Duration: 6 12 Months
Pay Rate: $41 $46/hr W2

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Verification Engineer to support system-level verification and validation of sophisticated electromechanical products in a regulated environment, preferably medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute system-level V&V strategies for hardware, electrical, embedded, and application software.
  • Review automated test frameworks, scripts, code, and test coverage; support code reviews.
  • Perform automation, performance, negative, compatibility, and system integration testing.
  • Create and execute verification plans, protocols, procedures, and reports.
  • Identify defects, test gaps, risks, and system-level issues across hardware/software interfaces.
  • Support reliability testing, including accelerated life testing, analysis, prediction, and test design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, software, quality, and product teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Systems Verification, Systems Testing, or V&V.
  • Experience with complex hardware/software or electromechanical systems.
  • Strong software background with test automation, test frameworks, code review, and coverage analysis.
  • Experience with performance, negative, compatibility, and system-level testing.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, regulated V&V, reliability engineering, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Experience with FDA-regulated product development and/or ISO 13485 quality systems.
  • Experience with sophisticated electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with medical, bone animation, computational, or simulation-based products is a plus.
  • Experience reviewing automated verification frameworks and software test architecture.
