About the role

As a Senior Systems Integration (SI) Consultant, you will make an impact by supporting large-scale healthcare payer transformation and modernization initiatives. You will work closely with business and technology teams to deliver integration, migration, and implementation solutions across core healthcare payer platforms and operational domains.

In this role, you will leverage your healthcare payer expertise, systems integration experience, and technical capabilities to support strategic programs involving Claims, Enrollment, Billing, Finance, Provider, and Member Operations. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex enterprise transformations while helping clients improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

Analyze, design, and implement healthcare payer system integrations across multiple applications and platforms.

Support migration and modernization initiatives, including data conversion and transformation activities involving SQL Server and Oracle environments.

Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL solutions, data integration components, and database processes.

Partner with business, functional, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.

Participate in system integration testing, defect resolution, deployment activities, and production support.

Support end-to-end healthcare payer business processes including Claims, Enrollment, Provider Management, Billing, Finance, and Member Operations.

Collaborate across multiple project workstreams to ensure successful delivery of integration and transformation initiatives.

Contribute to solution architecture discussions, technical reviews, and implementation best practices.

Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations to resolve complex integration challenges.

Support API, interface, batch processing, and data migration solutions within enterprise healthcare environments.

What you need to have to be considered

6+ years of experience supporting healthcare payer technology, systems integration, or platform implementation initiatives.

Strong healthcare payer domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

Claims Processing

Member Enrollment

Provider Management

Billing and Premium Administration

Finance and Reconciliation

Care Management

Customer Service Operations

Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development and database programming.

Strong SQL development, data analysis, and database troubleshooting skills.

Experience reviewing and supporting legacy SQL Server applications and codebases.

Experience with large-scale systems integration, migration, or modernization programs.

Strong understanding of interfaces, APIs, batch processes, ETL, and data migration concepts.

Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, architects, testers, and project teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with healthcare payer platforms such as:

Facets

QNXT

HealthRules

NASCO

Other core payer administration platforms

Experience supporting healthcare platform modernization or migration initiatives.

Enterprise Manager (EM) experience.

Experience working with Blue Cross Blue Shield healthcare organizations.

Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and practices.

Experience supporting cloud migration or digital transformation programs.

Prior involvement in large-scale healthcare payer transformation initiatives.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $99K - $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
