Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

Supports the stability, integrity and continuous improvement of enterprise business applications that support Provider Information and Business Operations. Serves as a technical resource for Salesforce-based applications, system integrations, and business processes by analyzing system capabilities, supporting production issues, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement, and ensuring data integrity across integrated healthcare systems. Collaborate with business and IT partners to design, implement and support scalable solutions that meet operational and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for an experienced professional in the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area who is willing and able to work in a hybrid model. The incumbent will be expected to work a portion of their week from home and a portion of their week at a CareFirst location based on business needs and work activities/deliverables that week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports, monitors, and optimizes Salesforce and enterprise healthcare applications that support Provider Information business. Monitors scheduled jobs, system interfaces, and provider data processing to ensure successful execution. Investigates job failures, application issues, and data discrepancies; performs root cause analysis; and collaborates with business and IT partners to ensure system stability, data integrity, and timely processing across integrated systems.
  • Develops and implements solutions to prevent recurring application and data issues. Troubleshoots production incidents, analyzes processing failures, performs root cause analysis, coordinates issue resolution with cross-functional teams, and supports continuous process improvement.
  • Supports application configuration, system enhancements, automation initiatives, and system integrations. Assists with implementing business requirements and validating changes to improve operational efficiency and business processes.
  • Evaluates new system capabilities by analyzing business requirements, participating in solution design, validating system performance, and supporting implementation of Salesforce and enterprise healthcare application enhancements.
  • Improves engineering job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor''s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science OR in lieu of a Bachelor''s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years software, hardware and/or systems engineering related experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Salesforce BA Certification
  • Salesforce Developer Certification
  • Salesforce Admin Certification
  • ITIL Foundations v3 within 180 Days Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of programming languages and web based technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Salary Range: $98,784 - $196,196
