Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator to manage and improve enterprise virtualization, server, storage, identity, monitoring, backup, and disaster-recovery platforms. The ideal candidate can troubleshoot complex issues across multiple infrastructure layers and take ownership from diagnosis through resolution.
This role also contributes to automation, system resilience, documentation, team mentoring, and the gradual adoption of container-based workloads.

Technology Environment
  • VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS clusters, and 500+ virtual machines.
  • Windows Server and Linux environments, including RHEL and Ubuntu.
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, Kerberos, and managed service accounts.
  • Enterprise SAN/NAS storage, including Qumulo and HPE Nimble/Alletra.
  • Veeam or similar backup and disaster-recovery solutions.
  • PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Bash automation.
  • Monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Zabbix, PRTG, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Growing exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and HA/DRS clusters.
  • Administer Windows Server and Linux systems, including patching, hardening, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, Kerberos authentication, and service-account security.
  • Support enterprise SAN/NAS storage, including capacity planning, performance troubleshooting, and migrations.
  • Build and maintain proactive monitoring and alerting across compute and storage platforms.
  • Manage backup and disaster-recovery solutions and conduct regular recovery testing.
  • Create and maintain disaster-recovery plans, runbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Investigate complex infrastructure issues across virtualization, operating systems, storage, and networking.
  • Support database infrastructure through VM sizing, storage, and latency troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior administrators and share technical knowledge with the team.
  • Partner with network, security, database, and application teams on infrastructure needs.
  • Support the gradual adoption of container workloads as business needs evolve.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Administrator in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing VMware vSphere at scale.
  • Solid Linux administration experience with RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar distributions.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise SAN/NAS storage performance.
  • Practical scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Kerberos, and service-account administration.
  • Ability to independently solve complex, multi-step infrastructure problems.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft Windows Server, LPIC, or similar certification.
  • Hands-on experience with Veeam backup, disaster recovery, and recovery testing.
  • Experience mentoring junior systems administrators.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting SQL Server infrastructure, including storage, performance, and VM sizing.
