About the job

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior System Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of DevOps principles, experience with cloud platforms, extensive experience with infrastructure as code, and a desire to grow their skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You will work closely with various teams to support the development, deployment, and operations of our software products.


 What you’ll do

•  Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Help maintain and improve configuration management practices.
• Participate in the development and implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
• Support the team in managing version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Ensure system security through monitoring, patch management, and implementation of best practices.
• Document processes and maintain records of configurations and changes.

Education & Experience

•  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with software development life cycle models and agile programming methodologies
• Minimum seven (7) years’ experience developing web applications, with at least 1 year in full-stack development (MongoDB, Express, Angular, and Node.js)
• Minimum of four (4) years' experience with full-stack development using Typescript at both the front end and back end

Minimum Requirements

•  Thorough understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS EKS, GCP GKE, Rancher).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD frameworks (e.g. JFrog, GitLab)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python).
• Experience with network technologies (e.g. Fortinet, Palo Alto)
• Fundamental knowledge of database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Extensive experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Experience working with agility in a high-velocity environment

Security clearance

•  You must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or higher) – US Citizenship required

Compensation

•  $100,000-$150,000 per year based on skills, experience
