Senior System Administrator

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to support mission-critical applications and infrastructure for the DIA. This is a hands-on Linux administration role where deep experience supporting enterprise systems will be especially valuable. Oracle experience is highly desired, particularly for environments supporting established and legacy applications.

What You’ll Work With

• Application technologies: Java, JPA, JAX-RS, JCE, Hibernate, Spring, JavaScript, Apache Ant, Apache HTTPD, and Apache Tomcat
• Databases: Apache Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and OracleDB
• Platforms and security: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9, FIPS, SELinux, firewalld, fapolicyd, and general Linux system administration

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree at minimum; a Master’s degree is preferred
• Security+ certification
• Strong Linux and systems administration experience
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred. For the right candidate, an active TS/SCI without a CI Poly may be sufficient. Candidates with Poly credentials will be prioritized.
• Oracle experience is highly desired
• Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and SQL is highly desired

Location

This is a full-time onsite position supporting operations at DIA HQ in Washington, DC, Reston, VA, or College Park, MD.

A recent CI Poly is preferred to help support onboarding timelines.
