Lead A Flagship Data Centre Project

Our client is a growing commercial general contractor with more than three decades of construction experience and a reputation for transparency, quality workmanship, and collaborative project delivery. The organization has successfully delivered projects across education, municipal, faith-based, and commercial sectors and is expanding into mission critical construction, creating a unique opportunity for an experienced data centre leader to help shape future growth and operational excellence.

Job Description

Serve as the senior field leader responsible for all on-site construction activities. Manage field teams, trade partners, Assistant Superintendents, and subcontractors. Lead execution of a ground-up mission critical data centre project. Drive site safety, quality control, and schedule performance throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules and milestone tracking plans. Coordinate all MEP, structural, civil, commissioning, and equipment installation activities. Lead daily coordination meetings and drive subcontractor accountability. Collaborate with project management, ownership representatives, consultants, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction. Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve schedule, quality, staffing, and constructability challenges. Oversee commissioning preparation, startup activities, integrated systems testing, and project turnover. Ensure all work complies with contract documents, owner requirements, and mission critical standards. Maintain accurate project documentation, daily reporting, and workforce planning. Mentor and develop field personnel while supporting operational growth within the organization. Help establish best practices and procedures for future mission critical project delivery. Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted project leader throughout construction.

The Successful Applicant

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission critical facilities, OSHA 30 certification, experience leading multiple Superintendents on large projects, background in electrical, mechanical, or mission critical construction, experience supporting commissioning and integrated systems testing.
