Superintendent OpportunityMichael Page has been retained by a market leader in Birmingham who are in search of a skilled Superintendent interested in working locally across the Central Alabama area. This company, a General Contractor and Construction Manager, has over 20 years of local experience and is widely considered to be among the top handful with regards to benefits and internal culture across the field. They utilize both Subcontractors and In-house labor on a wide range of Commercial projects including schools, stadiums, airport additions, multifamily and mixed-use complexes, and other opportunities locally. Their work is strictly within a 90-mile radius of Birmingham.Job DescriptionManage all aspects of site construction from project start to punch list completionCoordinate with Project Managers for change orders, schedules, etc.Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and/or Interns as assignedDocument and ensure quality control and safety standards to provide a safe work environment for all parties.Read and interpret drawings and specifications.Document all job site activity via daily reports including photographs.Maintain a working relationship with all local inspectors and code enforcement officials.Obtain all necessary inspections in order to receive all final permit sign offs/certificates of occupancy.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
